Fundación Pequeño Corazón, Manizalez

The Fundación Panorama Sostenible (PASO) is a non-profit foundation based in Manizalez, Caldas that provides, coordinates, and delivers comprehensive cardiology services for children from low-income communities (socioeconomic levels 1, 2, and 3). Its impact includes:

• 316 cardiac diagnoses
• 81 managed surgeries
• 40 community health outreach campaigns
• 1,912 children receiving heart screenings (“little hearts auscultated”)

As part of its long-term sustainability, the foundation also operates a cardiovascular healthcare clinic (IPS) that serves the wider population. The organization conducts medical outreach campaigns throughout the department and across all areas of the city to detect cardiovascular conditions early and ensure timely treatment when problems are identified.

Services provided include:

• 2,236 specialist consultations
• 3,155 echocardiograms and vascular studies
• 2,353 functional diagnostic tests

1. A tilt table for evaluating cardiac response to changes in posture
2. Electrocardiograph cables to replace damaged equipment
3. Holter monitor cables for cardiac stress testing
